We’re in a season of lemonade and sunny skies, and this geisha is just the coffee to sip on a warm afternoon.

When Juan visited us last fall, we had an incredible opportunity to taste 20+ coffees from our friends of 10+ years, Equation Coffee. This geisha stood head and shoulders above the others. Aromatic yuzu, sweet homemade lemonade, lovely white flowers, silky texture - it’s everything we love in a geisha.

La Piragua Geisha’s elegant profile is the work of a lifetime: Alexander Vargas has been working in coffee since 15 years old, and has created quite a name for himself in his region of Palestina, Huila. He has been a finalist in the Cup of Excellence competition four times, and is continuously experimenting with processing in his farm’s laboratory. This incredible geisha is a testament to his expertise.
