Our Tasting Notes:
The fragrance is all flowers and perform with jasmine and bergamot predominating. In the cup, intense sweetness of tangerine balanced by a light, yet coating body, and finish redolent of wild flower honey and earl grey tea make this one of the finest washed coffees of the year, in our humble opinion.
This lot comes from Sidama in the Bombe Mountains. The coffee comes from high elevations ranging from 1950-2100masl from an estate called Bensa, but includes small farms from Bensa's neighbors centered on three villages: Keramo, Shantawene, and Bombe. It is certified organic, UTZ, and Rainforest Alliance. It's wet fermented and a Grade 1, which means exceedingly low defects.
