Our Tasting Notes:

Though grown in Kochere, this mill borders Yirgachefe and the flavors tell the tale: intense perfume of jasmine and lavender with bergamot resonant throughout. Raw sugar, vibrant acidity, tea like, but intensely flavored and complex. It ends with a long, lingering, incredibly delicious flavor of Earl Grey. Seriously one of the best washed coffees we’ve seen in a long time.

"Jet" is the name of the mill that processed this coffee. It’s in the Gedeo region and Kochere district in the south near Yirgacheffe. It’s near the town of Hama, and it collects coffee from small holder farmers nearby. Jet is a private mill, but keeps track of everyone who delivers coffee. In 2019 they received over 1000 deliveries. That’s significant given that there are many cooperative and private mills in the area, but Jet is well known for paying well for quality. The results in the cup are obvious and stunning.
