Yessica Parra - Papayo

$36.00

Region: Pitalito, Huila, Colombia

Varietal: Papayo
Processing: Washed
Altitude: 1750 masl

Our tasting notes:
Dulce de Leche, Tres Leches, Tropical Fruit, full of character (and fun).

In the words of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, we “hear music… mighty fine music… music in the air.”

We hear music in the air with the arrival of Yessica Parra’s Washed Papayo. Not to be confused with the fruit (‘ya), this varietal is new for Penstock to roast and offer you at home. From a brilliant young fourth generation coffee grower, this coffee is elegant, comforting, and memorable. Light, yet full in richness and balance. Tasting notes reminded us of freshly served tres leches cake, some dulce de leche, and a medley of tropical fruits.

Yessica and her brother, Diego, as mentioned earlier are fourth generation coffee growers and names we feel you will be seeing much‍ more often thanks to their unique profiling and processing at Diwan Coffee and El Mirador farm.

Not to be missed.
