Caramel and grape dominate this cup. It’s got a complicating baking spice dimension (think cinnamon), a round, full body, and chocolatey finish.

Our long time partner in Colombia, La Palma y El Tucan began sourcing coffee from Huila several years ago under the name Equation Coffee. All the wonderful things that they do - access to financing, above market prices for cherry, agronomic training, free organic fertilizer, etc. - carried over to this new project.

Much like their Neighbors and Crops, this lot is sourced from a community (rather than one farmer) near La Plata. It consists of high elevation (1,500 - 1,900) and a mix of modern, disease resistant (Colombia) and more heirloom varietals (Caturra). The flavor profile reflects these aspects of its terroir.
